5 questions (8 parts). Try each one first, then open its answer.

  1. Question 1

    Triangles. Asked 2 times: 2024, 2025

    22 (b)
In parallelogram ABCD, side AD is produced to a point E and BE intersects CD at F. Prove that ΔABE∼ΔCFB\Delta ABE \sim \Delta CFB
  2. Question 2

Triangles. Asked 2 times: 2024*, 2025 (* = numbers or wording changed that year)

    25 (b)
In the given figure, ΔABE≅ΔACD\Delta ABE \cong \Delta ACD. Prove that ΔADE∼ΔABC\Delta ADE \sim \Delta ABC.
  3. Question 3 (case study, 4 parts)

Areas Related to Circles. Asked 2 times: 2023*, 2024 (* = numbers or wording changed that year)

A stable owner has four horses. He usually tie these horses with 7 m long rope to pegs at each corner of a square shaped grass field of 20 m length, to graze in his farm. But tying with rope sometimes results in injuries to his horses, so he decided to build fence around the area so that each horse can graze. Based on the above, answer the following questions :
    36 (i)
Find the area of the square shaped grass field.
    36 (ii) (a)
Find the area of the total field in which these horses can graze.
    36 (ii) (b)
If the length of the rope of each horse is increased from 7 m to 10 m, find the area grazed by one horse. (Use π=3.14\pi = 3.14)
    36 (iii)
What is area of the field that is left ungrazed, if the length of the rope of each horse is 7 cm ?
  4. Question 4

    Arithmetic Progressions. Asked 2 times: 2023, 2024

  5. Question 5

Arithmetic Progressions. Asked 2 times: 2023*, 2024 (* = numbers or wording changed that year)

    26 (a)
If the sum of first 7 terms of an A.P. is 49 and that of first 17 terms is 289, find the sum of its first 20 terms.
