If $x = t^2$ and $y = t^3$ with $t > 0$, is $\frac{d^2y}{dx^2}$ equal to $\frac{d^2y/dt^2}{d^2x/dt^2}$ $= \frac{6t}{2} = 3t$? Test it: here $y = x^{3/2}$.
