Chemistry in Everyday Life: SSC CGL Chemistry

Chemistry in Everyday Life has 14 questions in the SSC CGL Tier I bank: 11 from the 2023 shifts and three from the 2024 shifts, and none from the 2025 shifts. Each names a use, such as a preservative, a flavour or a gas in a sign, and asks the chemical behind it. One page gives the pairs, in food first and then in wider use.

The handout has every subtopic, worked example, formula and trap with answers shown. The formula sheet is the chapter’s formulas and traps alone, on one page.
