Venn Diagrams: SSC CGL Reasoning
Venn Diagrams has 44 questions in the SSC CGL Tier I bank: 29 from the 2023 shifts and 15 from the 2024 shifts, with 39 EASY and 5 MODERATE. They come in two kinds: 29 of the 30 questions that ask you to pick the diagram for three named classes are from the 2023 shifts, and all 14 that ask you to read numbers off a drawn diagram are from the 2024 shifts. Both are quick once you settle each pair of classes (inside, apart or overlapping) and name each region before you add.
The handout has every subtopic, worked example, formula and trap with answers shown. The formula sheet is the chapter’s formulas and traps alone, on one page.

Counting from a Venn Diagram

Watch out for (4)
- Putting the larger class inside the smaller one→ Inside or apart
- Overlapping two kinds that never meet→ Inside or apart
- Drawing an overlap where one class is inside the other→ Overlapping classes
- Forgetting the members outside→ Overlapping classes
