Vocabulary — CDS English

Vocabulary is the largest chapter in CDS English: 512 past-year questions in 19 of the 20 sittings from 2017 to 2026, about 300 of them synonyms and antonyms. A word is rarely tested twice, so memorising old answers is not enough. Each part opens with a method that works on words you have never met: read the word in its sentence, check its charge, break it into roots, and strike the traps. The themed lists that follow hold every word CDS has tested, grouped by what the words describe.

Every subtopic, worked example, formula and trap in one printable document — answers shown, ready to share.
